Outlook Express:

From the Tools menu, select Accounts... and click on the Mail tab

If you see an account named mail.yourdomain.com or something similar, you should be safe to remove it. Removing the account should not remove the e-mail messages and address book entries but it couldn't hurt to back them up before hand.

Click the Add button and select Mail.... This should bring up the e-mail portion of the Internet Connection Wizard.

Enter the name you want your e-mail to appear to be from in the display name box and click Next.

Enter your e-mail address and click Next. Example: username@yourdomain.com

Select POP3 as the server type and enter "mail.yourdomain.com" without the quotes for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers. Click Next.

Enter your complete e-mail address in the account name field and the associated password (case sensitive). Make sure the Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox is NOT checked and click Next.

Click Finish and then Close the "Internet Accounts" window.
